Session 19-20:

Things to remember for literature review:

  • Introduction: Define what the parts of your question mean. e.g. tuakana teina. 
  • Don' use I - First person. 
  • Digital and collaborative research topic. 
  • Back up opinion with research. 
  • Don't use contractions e.g. can't, don't use can not or do not.  
  • Avoid saying 'There is/are", really, very , a lot
  • Passive voice - Start with person, verb, object. 
  • Strong verbs e.g made an objection = Objected.

  • Identify major themes - Webinar. 
  • Synthesis your selected literature, compare and contrast research findings and identify disagreements or tensions in your sources - Webinar.
